Welcome to the Customerstreet SEO (search engine optimisation) blog. My name is Lee Johnson and I work as The SEO manager for Customerstreet - one of the UK’s leading new media advertising services.
Favorite saying: “Instead of looking for customers, what if they found you?”
Having started in the industry with a large UK based ISP (internet service provider) I started to understand and gain a good grounding on what search engines look for when indexing and ranking pages. Having started as a humble outbound new business member of a large sales team, I gained a wealth of knowledge which gave me the kick start into the world of the SEO industry.
I wanted to know everything there was to know about how to make a website work on the search engines. I started to build small sites that I tested to find the best techniques and processes that would help a website progress up the search engines.
Several years down the line from my humble beginnings, I started my own website optimisation company from a home office, its sole role was to help other businesses online get a better ROI from there existing sites. This was a great success and it was great to help mainly UK companies’ expand their coverage on the search engines. It grew to the stage where the business was dealing with mid to large scale marketing companies who dealt with mid size businesses.
An opportunity came up to work for Customerstreet and took the chance to work as the SEO manager to help a very large successful operation even more successful and give advice via this blog to the customerstreet clients. I am very much looking forward over the forth coming months to give in small snippets the knowledge I have gained and sharing it with all of you who want to expand your skill and getting your websites working harder for you.
