When you visit a website, do you ever wish that you could find a particular piece of information on that site? Or, are you ever not able to find a specific product or service that the site probably sells?
In such moments, you realise the “gold” that this site is missing. But as a potential customer, you know about it - don’t you?
Okay, put the shoe on the other foot so you’re now the SEO or Web site owner.
For effective search engine marketing, you need more than just top rankings.
Remember to include strong calls to action to compel a response from the reader.
But also remember that people often get accustomed to the same type of terminology if it is repeated over and over again. Practice coming up with new ways to describe a “call to action” so that it still delivers value, but does not get ignored. The same is true when describing a special bonus or a guarantee. Work to make your “calls to action” memorable. Make them stand out on the page.
Today’s tip is actually the first in a series to get you to stop and think about the value of the content that you create for your Web site.
Create content that serves your customer’s needs FIRST and your own needs second.
Far too often, our focus is so narrowly limited to just our own objectives for a Web page. One powerful tip is to first research the specific needs of yourcustomer (within a niche) and then deliver up high value, based on your researchand give the searcher EXACTLY whatever it is that THEY want, first.
The Internet at it’s very best, is all about relationships.
So in whatever industry you’re in, form real, lasting, honest relationships with others in your industry. These relationships should never be one-sided and never solely for personal gain, because your motives will always show through. Form genuine relationships, the kind where these people can call on you as needed, and they know they can “count on you” and you “can count on them.”
Business is about “making money,” but life is “all about people.”
Never forget that and you’ll be encouraged and renewed time and time again.
