So you are looking to find out more about SEO. First of all lets look at how most of the people I know learnt SEO . Most of my friends and including myself decided that we wanted to know how the search engines work and what make them tick in regards to SERPs.

The best way to learn is read constantly, get a small hosting package and get a small website or even a page online. From there you can get to know how copywriting works and also what the search engines look for in terms of your pages getting good results. You can practice with you page titles and also with your meta title and descriptions for each page of your website.

I just wished when I started doing this, I just aimed for one search engine. I would advise that you look at just one and that most defiantly should be Google. They generate the most traffic and also all the others want to become Google as they are the best and the biggest.

If you would like help take a look at a few of the following sites that help you with what is happening in the industry. After reading an interesting article try adding a few of the tips in your pages and see what sort of results you get. If you are looking to check rankings for the site you have a great free start is WebCEO they offer a free software package that can track 5 keywords for free. I would really advise this as it can be a real pain if you do this by hand.

If you want tips for what you need to do, keep this blog in your favorites as I add several tips each week that will be of interest and will also help your site work harder for you.

SEO is easier to learn by practice rather than be taught, so dont give up it can be fun. Good luck and happy learning.
