We decided today to make a new website and see how long it takes to get a website in the Google index. We decided to be a Roofer in Bangor. We have built the site in CSS, from scratch and have set ourselves 48 hours to get the site live. I hear you cry “WHAT 48 hours?”, yes we feel that if a site is built correctly and written with good content and also using a few of our own non disclosure techniques, a website can get to the first page of Google very, very quickly.

We implement SEO when we build sites for our clients and this will be an interesting trial and I am exited to see how we do.

We will update this article further when we get the website on to Google index, how long it stays there and how high we can get for 5 different keywords.

The website is called: Bangor Roofing and the domain is brand new and was bought last night.

The keywords that we want to be found on are:

• Roofing Services Bangor
• Roofer in Bangor
• Emergency Roofing services (Bangor)
• Bangor Roofing
• Roofer Bangor

We are just waiting for the domain to propagate to the hosting space and then the test and the clock begins. We are testing for IP range of the server, page design, content writing and also multiple keyword phrases on the SERP’s results of Google. We do not care about other search engines as Google is the one used the most worldwide, so if we get it right on the “big G” we will generate the most traffic to the website.

We made the site with half the images off-page (CSS) and half the images on-page to test what differences can be made with making changes to the alt tags for the on-page images.

I really look forward to seeing all the results and what we can achieve by making small changes over the next week.

UPDATE: The site was uploaded into the hosting space at 9:01am 1st February 2008.

These stats will be intermittent for a couple of days till all of Google’s data centers pick up the new site and their index’s are updated.

What more can I say,

just over 24 hours site was indexed by Google at:

• 1st Feb 2008 10:11:22 GMT
• We uploaded the site at: 1st Feb 09:01am GMT.

We are already no1 for nearly all the keywords we were looking for. We have also got our directories on the first page too. I am not surprised by this outcome as Customer Street can help online businesses achieve there desires with our help.
