Pagerank changes for our Directories

Google over the weekend has made changes to two of our directories - Moreuk.com and Smilelocal.com. Each of the the two directories had a Page Rank of Zero. Both home pages have been changed to a Page Rank of 4. I will be looking at the stats over the next week to see if this will make much difference to the amount of searches we receive on or directory network. This site (Customer street SEO) has only been live since the 21st of september and it allready has a pagerank of 2 on the homepage and also a 3 on the introduction page.

Does Google change their algorithms to artificially promote new pages? Hard to say but there is evidence that QDF exists.

Directory Submissions
Directory submissions if done right could be a great way to increase the number of links to your website and hence increasing your rankings.
